An ACUA Membership provides valuable information and resources to help you improve your organization's risk mitigation efforts, internal control processes and compliance monitoring systems. For more information download our membership brochure. To join, fill out our membership application.
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP
Institutional memberships are reserved for institutions of higher education. Departments, entities, or individuals at institutions of higher education (including system offices) with an interest in the issues surrounding the practice of internal auditing in higher education are also eligible for institutional membership.
The benefits of institutional membership include:
- Voting rights in ACUA elections (for one institutional representative).
- Opportunity for employees of the institution to run for and hold office in ACUA.
- Discounted conference rates for employees of the institution.
- Access to both ACUA-L and the proprietary sections of the ACUA Web site for institutional employees designated by the institutional representative.
- One subscription to the ACUA journal and access to the e-newsletter.
CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
Corporate memberships are organizations, companies, or groups not eligible for institutional membership, but having an interest in the practice of internal auditing in the higher education environment. Examples include but are not limited to accounting firms, software companies, and consulting firms.
The benefits of corporate membership include:
- Discounted conference rates for employees of the corporate member.
- One subscription to the ACUA journal and access to the e-newsletter.
Please note that corporate members are not given access to the Members Only section of our Web site. Applicants will not receive log-in information.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
Individual memberships are reserved for individuals not affiliated with an organization that would allow for institutional or corporate membership, but who have an interest in ACUA or internal auditing. Examples include but are not limited to retirees of institutional member organizations or other former members who are not currently employed in higher education.
Please note: Requests for this type of membership are handled by the Membership Committee and are granted only in certain situations.
Honorary members are individual memberships reserved for individuals designated by the ACUA Board based on service to ACUA, the internal audit profession, or other criteria as the Board deems appropriate.
The benefits of individual and honorary memberships include:
- Discounted conference rates.
- One subscription to the ACUA journal and access to the e-newsletter.
- Access to both ACUA-L and the proprietary sections of the ACUA Web site.
