Flat Water River Float

Although you won't be floating down the mighty Mississippi, or shooting rapids, you won't miss anything - the overwhelming beauty of the Sonoran Desert and the scenic wilderness of the Tonto National Forest as seen from the Salt or Verde rivers are unrivaled.
Your journey begins on the historic Fort McDowell Indian Reservation, where you'll board your raft. You'll flow with the river's current, which will take you through rugged canyons and desert terrain, all in view of the majestic McDowell Mountains. Your guide will share facts about the desert and the wildlife you'll see along the way. It's a relaxing way to while away the day!

Carefree & Arabian Ranch Tour
Scottsdale is known worldwide as one of the premier breeding grounds for champion Arabian horses. In fact, each year, guests flock to the city for the All-Arabian Horse Show and Auction.
This tour begins with a fascinating up close look at one of the area's working horse ranches. The ranch is one of the Valley's leading edge facilities for the training and breeding of thoroughbred Arabian horses. The sprawling ranch has numerous paddocks where newborn colts and fillies can be seen, including an equine exercise pool, riding arenas and a fully equipped laboratory.
Visit 'Carefree', a desert community just north of Scottsdale. You'll marvel at the spectacular homes nestled amidst incredible rock formations. Once you're in Carefree, be sure to notice the names of the streets and businesses, which all reflect the 'Carefree' concept. You'll also have plenty of time to browse the local shops and galleries.

Taliesin West - Design Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright
A listing of Frank Lloyd Wright's greatest architectural achievements always includes his personal residence and architectural school, Taliesin West. Situated on 600 acres of the Sonoran Desert, Taliesin West is a National Historic Landmark that still serves as a living, working educational facility with an onsite architectural firm.
Taliesin West was literally created out of the desert by Wright and his apprentices. They gathered rocks from the desert floor and sand from the washes to build this desert masterpiece.
